John B. Gradwell - was initially educated at Loughborough University, England, afterwards which he taught at both the elementary and secondary school levels. He holds a bachelor of scientific discipline degree from Loughborough University and a bachelor of arts and chief of arts from San Francisco State University. His piece of work as a Inquiry Fellow at Iowa Country University culminated in a doctoral degree from ISU. Post-obit doctoral studies, Dr. Gradwell taught at Temple University and subsequently at McGill University in the Faculty of Education where he is currently Professor Emeritus. His work has included the training of future and in-service teachers of technology education. His enquiry focused on the integration of science inside applied science education including a comparison of European and North American systems. His industrial experience is primarily in cabinetmaking and fabrication and thermoforming of plastics.
Malcolm Welch - trained as a teacher of furniture pattern at Shoreditch College of Education, Academy of London. Post-obit 22 years as a teacher in a variety of secondary schools in both England and Canada, he completed main of teaching and PhD degrees at McGill University. His doctoral piece of work was included on the University'southward Dean's Honour Listing for outstanding inquiry. He afterward taught a graduate course in research methods and undergraduate courses in curriculum and teaching. Dr. Welch is currently Professor Emeritus in the Kinesthesia of Didactics, Queen'south University. While at Queen's University, he directed the Simple Science and Technology Project, a program that investigated approaches to the teaching of scientific discipline and engineering at the middle school level, provided professional person evolution for teachers, and developed curriculum materials. He also worked on major curriculum projects in England and the Us, including the Standards for Technological Literacy.
